Booking direct with the owner ensures the best possible service and best value for money - no booking fees, hidden agency costs or listing site commission which usually add between 10-20% on to the cost. Listing sites which add these fees include TripAdvisor, Airbnb and HomeawayVRBO.
We care about our guests and want to ensure that they have an enjoyable stay in our home and an efficient service - this starts from the minute you make an enquiry. We provide lots of information for guests to help them make the most of their holiday and are here to provide the best possible assistance in planning your stay.
How do we know we are safe booking directly with the owner?
We appreciate that you holiday is important to you and you want to feel your booking is safe and secure and that you are booking with an owner that cares. Although scams are very rare, it is understandable that guests should feel assured that they are dealing with a real person and a real property.

We have owned Beddgelert House and operated it as a registered furnished holiday rental since 2010. During this time we have been listed on HomeAway/VRBO continuously - visit our listing www.homeaway.co.uk/p734717 We have been a verfied advertiser with the site since 2007. You will also find our home on a few other sites, including Owners Direct and TripAdvisor. We are members of the Beddgelert Tourism Association. We offer guests flexible payment terms and you are welcome to pay by which ever method suits you best, including cheque or bank transfer. For credit and debit card transactions we use the Paypal secure online payment service - your details are never shared with us for your security and card payments carry added payment protection in case anything goes wrong.
Our cancellation policy allows for full refunds if we are unable to open due to COVID-19 Lockdown restrictions or guests who are unable to travel due to COVID-19 travel or Lockdown travel restrictions from their address in the UK for all bookings in 2022.
We request that guests take out suitable travel insurance which covers for COVID19 related circumstances such as illness, self-isolation or quarantine requirements. Reservations made through a third party (Airbnb/HolidayRentals/TripAdvisor/etc) are subject to their own cancellation policies but will still receive a full refund under our COVID-19 Book With Confidence policy.
Reviews are an important tool in verifying the owner and the property. All the reviews you see on this web site are from guests which have submitted independent comments onto our listing site or directly via the 'add review' button on this site. We don't make a habit of pressuring guests into writing reviews but it's lovely when they do! We are proud to have continuously achieved 'superhost' status on Airbnb with 95% 5 star reviews.
